La Galleria si caratterizza per gli ingressi, sia i due laterali sia l’ingresso principale, circondati da colonne in stile neoclassico. Il suo pavimento mosaicato e il lucernario colorato ne costituiscono i principali elementi di pregio architettonico.

Ed è proprio dalla storia della Galleria e dallo spirito con cui fu inizialmente concepita che è nato il progetto di riqualificazione di L22 Retail insieme ad Atmos, per il lighting e l’acustica, e L22 Engineering & Sustainability per gli impianti e prevenzione incendio.

Dal punto di vista commerciale si è optato per l’accorpamento e la valorizzazione delle unità, che da 27 passano a 15, con la conseguente rimodulazione degli impianti e le necessarie opere strutturali, come il rifacimento dei collegamenti interni verticali all’interno delle singole unità.

Il concept del progetto di L22 Retail si è sviluppato intorno a tre “transizioni”.

Da riservata a Coraggiosa

La rimozione degli accessi alla galleria con l’eliminazione del filtro vetrato permette e invoglia il passaggio naturale e spontaneo delle persone.

Da indifferente a Lucente

Il nuovo progetto illuminotecnico è caratterizzato da un sistema dimmerabile con luce dinamica, che cambia in base alle condizioni meteo e all’orario della giornata. Il progetto di lighting riguarda le diverse aree della galleria, degli androni e del portico.

Timeless & Ready to Retail

La sostituzione delle vetrine interne ed esterne, nel rispetto del valore storico del complesso, risponde ai criteri commerciali contemporanei di leggibilità e visibilità. Una nuova leggerezza proprio grazie alle vetrine a tutta luce, con profilo minimal. Il risultato è una migliore esperienza, sia di esposizione che di fruizione.

The Galleria boasts a number of architecturally significant features, including its main entrance and two side entrances, all of which are encircled by neoclassic style columns, its mosaic tile floors and its coloured skylights.

It is precisely the history of the Galleria and the spirit with which it was originally conceived that inspired the redevelopment project by L22 Retail, together with Atmos, for lighting and acoustics, and L22 Engineering & Sustainability, for building systems and fire prevention.

In terms of the retail offer, the project opted to incorporate and enhance these premises, reducing the number of units from 27 to 15, with the ensuing reorganisation of the systems and the necessary structural works, such as renovating the internal vertical connections within each unit.

The concept for L22 Retail’s project developed around three “transitions”.

From Reserved to Bold

Removing the entrances to the Galleria by eliminating the glazed barrier allows for and encourages the natural and spontaneous passage of people.

From Indifferent to Bright

The new light engineering project features a dimmable system with dynamic lighting, that changes according to the weather conditions and the time of day. The lighting project addresses the various areas of the gallery, of the entrance halls and of the portico.

Timeless & Ready to Retail

The replacement of the internal and external shop windows, consistent with the property’s historic value, meets the modern retail criteria of legibility and visibility. A newfound sense of lightness, thanks to the all-glass windows with minimal frames. An improved experience for both shoppers and retailers.
